Global Flute Workshop - Linda Wetherill Masterclasses and Ensembles: July 25-31, 2010

Global Flute Workshop recognizes and respects the uniqueness of each artist. The workshop's primary mission is to foster a love of repertoire from all corners of the world in each participant. Our curriculum skillfully weaves international artistic and extended-technique disciplines into everyday practice.  Students are permitted to follow their curiousity, to think creatively, improvise, and learn the extent and intent of composer tools of all eras and countries, working both independently and in ensembles with others.

We celebrate diversity and strive to instill integrity and confidence in each performer. We give each artist support and encouragement to become his or her own unique voice.  For downloads and critiques of Linda's International CD sampler "Sound and Repercussion", selected as top solo flute recording of all time,  please click on her name below.

Global Flute Workshop participants tackle solo and ensemble repertoire of all eras - including Baroque repertoire with harpsichord to the most recent international trends with their composers - in ways that are engaging, meaningful, fun, and adaptable to a variety of tastes and learning styles.

We're prepared to build the repertoire, required technical skills, and expressive abilities of all flutists, from junior high school age through professional teachers and performers.
